Slums & Shutdowns: JD Vance’s Vote Is the Blueprint
They told us they were going to “make America great again.”
What they meant was: make it look like 1929.
Vice President JD Vance cast the deciding vote to pass a bill that cuts Medicaid for 17 million Americans. When asked about it? He said it was “immaterial” in comparison to funding ICE.
Yes, ICE—the agency that now has a budget larger than the Israeli military. But apparently, keeping poor and vulnerable people alive? That’s too expensive.
And here's where it gets real:
This bill didn’t just go after Medicaid. It also slashes disaster relief—so when that hurricane or wildfire hits, don’t bother calling FEMA. Food programs were gutted, meaning millions of kids will go hungry at school. They’re even dumping money back into coal, despite experts warning it will collapse our already fragile power grid. So: more outages, higher bills.
Here’s the kicker:
Red states will feel it hardest.
And many of the reps who swore they wouldn’t touch Medicaid?
They voted yes. On record.
So what we’re seeing isn’t incompetence. It’s intent.
They are engineering a two-class country.
Where the rich have gated access to everything—
And the rest of us are stuck outside, in the dark, with no power… literally.
If your rep’s name is on this list—remember that when it’s time to vote again.
Unless, of course, democracy is on the chopping block next.
